Ottenskamp4 & Het Achterhuis

This group accommodation consists of two adjacent holiday homes, together suitable for larger groups who value comfort, tranquillity, and nature. Ottenskamp4 is a luxury holiday home for up to four guests. The property is largely single-level and features a bedroom on the ground floor. The second bedroom is located on the upper level and can be reached via a loft ladder; this is an important point of attention when staying with very young children.

The Achterhuis is a comfortable and atmospheric holiday home for up to ten guests. This property offers three bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. Two of the bedrooms are fitted with a double box bed, adding to the warm and cosy character of the house. Both homes are fully furnished and equipped with underfloor heating, ensuring a pleasant stay even during the colder months.

The accommodation is intended for guests seeking peace and quiet; loud parties and party-oriented groups are not welcome.

In the garden there is a wellness log cabin with a sauna and jacuzzi. In addition, there is the option to include the nostalgically furnished hunter’s lodge, for example when a (local) caterer provides lunch or dinner. The accommodation is highly suitable for family gatherings, groups of friends, teambuilding activities, corporate retreats, wellness retreats, and peer review or intervision meetings, with an emphasis on tranquillity and quality.

Both homes enjoy unobstructed views over the spacious garden with a private pond, where swimming and fishing are possible in summer and, with sufficient frost, even ice skating in winter. Beside the pond there is a small sandy beach area for sunbathing or relaxing. Several quiet spots are spread throughout the grounds for moments of reflection, while more active guests can make use of the grassy field beside and behind the pond.

The property is easily accessible by private transport and offers ample parking in the immediate vicinity. If you are travelling by public transport, you can take a direct bus connection from Boxmeer railway station to Siebengewald, allowing you to reach the location with ease.

The location near De Maasduinen National Park and the UNESCO-listed Maasheggen landscape makes this accommodation particularly attractive for hiking and cycling enthusiasts. A trip to neighbouring Germany is also easily arranged. Canoeing on the idyllic River Niers is a special experience. The hosts are ambassadors of De Maasduinen National Park and the Maasheggen UNESCO area and are happy to share their knowledge or guide guests to unique natural sites. Activities such as a guided excursion with a hunter and a game-tasting experience can also be arranged.
